Performance Opportunities
Competitive Performances
There are performance opportunities for all ages at Club, State and National level in both team and individual events. At Millennium Dance Co, performances are a very important aspect of our club and we highly recommend and encourage all girls to participate. Classes are structured around working towards these performances.
The performances start in July and go through until November each year. Most performances are free or a small fee of $15 for interclub performances. Performances are all in the local Brisbane area and sometimes the Gold Coast, with the opportunity for all students to participate in Sydney performances if they wish.

Team Competitions
As well as individually, students have the opportunity to participate in team performances. Girls are selected to participate together as a Team in their respective age groups.
Six to eight girls are in a team (sometimes there can be up to 3 teams per age group depending on numbers), and they will perform the APDA syllabus together all wearing a black long sleeved leotard and hair all the same.
The idea is for the 8 girls to perform all of the syllabus in time, unison and position together as perfectly as possible. Junior Teams are held in Queensland and Senior Teams (13 years and up) are held in Sydney.
Individual Competitions
In October all of our girls will dance in our Queensland Zone Performance.
At this special performance, a number of girls will be selected to dance at the APDA Junior Nationals in Sydney in November.
Performances for fun!
From time to time during the year we have opportunities for the girls to show case parts of our previous year's APDA syllabus, whether it be shopping centre displays or school fetes. This is a great opportunity for children to become accustomed to performing in front of a crowd.
These displays are open to all children who wish to join in. For these performances girls do not wear leotards and are not competitions, however low cost costumes are sometimes required to be purchased.
Special Performance
Junior girls aged 7 and over, who make the Junior Grand Champion Girl Final at Junior Nationals are eligible to participate in the Opening Ceremony of the Senior Champion Girl Nationals at The Sydney Opera House.
This is a wonderful opportunity for these girls to perform on a very prestigious stage on such a wonderful night of Physie & Dance showcasing all that APDA has to offer.
The girls will also take part in the end of year Christmas Gala performance where they will perform a Christmas Show for their family.
